Congress Roasted For Map That Marks Out 'Indian Occupied Kashmir'

A booklet depicting the failures of three years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government may land the Congress party in a controversy as it has described Jammu and Kashmir State as "Indian Occupied Kashmir".

However, it was not immediately known whether it was done deliberately or it was a goof-up.

It is to mention here that India is illegally occupying Jammu and Kashmir since the partition of Indian subcontinent in 1947 and claims its accession under a controversial document, Instrument of Accession, it signed with the then Dogra Maharaja of Kashmir.

Congress General Secretary and Leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha Gulam Nabi Azad charged that the NDA Government was engaged in the "reactive" foreign policy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to formulate a clear policy for China and Pakistan.

Ch Ishaq urged the global community to use its complete influence to globally pressurize India for the early peaceful solution to burning Kashmir dispute as per the aspirations of the people as per the United Nations resolutions on Kashmir. Azad said that three such incidents had taken place "but hardly any action has been taken" in the last three years. The recent inauguration of the Assam to Arunachal bridge is being shown as if it was undertaken by the Modi government.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has "become the biggest NPA for this country", the Congress said here on Friday, with "ease of doing business" becoming "cease doing business". By projecting Kashmir as Indian occupied Kashmir the Congress party has not only made separatists happy but also gladdened the heart of its patrons across the border. "It is condemnable", he was quoted as saying by news agency PTI. In 2014, the BJP displayed the map with the same error on their website. Shifting responsibility to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), he was forced to hide his own Government's abject failure on counting the exact currency which was back in the system, along with a number of counterfeit ones, after the decision of demonetization.
