The all-region awards honor softball student-athletes from the NFCA's 10 regions with first, second team and selections.

Riley Sartain and Samantha Show were named to the first team, while Kaitlyn Alderink, Lexi Smith, Ashley Walters and Tori Vidales earned second team accolades. She was named to the All-WCC Second Team, being named WCC Player of the Week once.

After a successful regular season, McKenna Bull, Libby Sugg and Caitlyn Larsen Alldredge were named to the 2017 NFCA Division I All-Pacific Region First Team with Rylee Jensen making the third team, as announced by the NFCA on Thursday.

The Ragin' Cajuns five all-region selections were third-most in the Central Region, trailing only Oklahoma (seven) and Baylor (six).

It marks the fourth straight season that OU has had at least seven selections.

In her three seasons in a Samford uniform, Maze's.387 career average is the best in school history.

On offense, she finished with a.273 average after recording 39 hits in 143 at-bats, including six doubles, one triple and two home runs.

"I would like to join with the coaching staff and Becca's teammates in congratulating her on a great season and earning All-Region First Team honors", said head coach Jay Nelson.

This is the first all-region selection for Manuel, who played a key part both on the field and at the plate for the Panthers this year.

The honor from the NFCA is the second of Davenport's career after picking up third-team All-Mid-Atlantic Region honors as a true freshman. The everyday centerfielder, she also ranks second in the league in home runs per game (0.22), third in RBI per game (0.86) and total bases (106) and fifth in slugging (.586).

Stewart ends her career as a back-to-back all-region pick (first team in 2016), while Comeaux garners her first career selection.

Comeaux, who moved to catcher in January after an injury opened up the position, is hitting.351 with 10 homers and 47 RBI and has helped control the opponent's running game with only 23 stolen base attempts against her.

Clifton made the All-Region First Team for the second time in as many seasons. The Ragin' Cajuns face in-state foe McNeese (42-16) in the opening round at 3 p.m. on Friday live on ESPN3.
